This page includes download and installation instructions for the MLM Tax Helper PRO (version 2.4.6) software.  If after reviewing this page, you find that you have a problem or need assistance, please first check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) page.  Also, please be sure to read our Getting Started page before using the software (even if you are upgrading -- there are important tips about the new release on both the Getting Started and FAQ pages). Then if you still need further assistance, please contact Support.

System Requirements:  Because the MLM Tax Helper runs using JAVA programming, it is available to run on a variety of platforms (listed below).  For Windows, it is recommended that you are running either XP or Vista (the software may run on earlier operating systems, but it is not recommended). For Mac computers, you must be using OS 10.4 or later. Before downloading, please read "Notice" on bottom of page below.

Windows Installation Instructions:

1)  To download the install file, RIGHT-CLICK  on the 'Download' link below and select either "Save Target As" in Internet Explorer, or on "Save Link As" in Netscape.  (Note:  If you left-click by mistake, be sure to  select the 'Save this program to disk' option, and click on 'OK').
2)  Browse out and select your Desktop as the Save location.  If you choose another Save location, be sure to note it for future reference -- NOTE: some users have reported installation problems when saving to and running the install from another folder, so I highly recommend you save to the default Desktop location.
3)  Wait while the file downloads.  
4)  If you are upgrading from a previous version and have created previous personal .xml datafiles, please make sure to backup your personal .xml datafiles before running the install in step 5.
5)  After downloading, simply double-click the 'mthpro.exe' file.  The setup program will guide you through the quick installation process.  Simply leave all of the default options and step through the install screens until the install is complete (if you are upgrading from an earlier release, click "yes" when asked if you want to use the folder that already exists). I especially recommend that you allow the software to install in the default location.

NOTE:  Are you running a version of Mac OS earlier than Mac OS X?  Because the The Tax Helper uses the most recent version of Java, it is available only for Mac OS X (10.4 or later).  The earlier Mac OS versions do not support the level of Java required.  For more information about upgrading to Mac OS X, please visit Apple's website here:
